It would be better of the button on the import file dialog would read Import and not Open

Isn’t this a Windows limitation? Or Windows can show import vs. open?
It is possible to have other text, but is some effort.
Not sure if it is worth it.
Also, I don’t find it so confusing.
For Import, a file must be opened.

I found it confusing as well. In Blender the (custom file dialog) button would say ‘Import FBX’ if one were importing an FBX file. It helps lowering the cognitive load getting reminded what one was doing :°
