Hello,

I’ve made some macros before, but I wish to do some things to save some time at work… and I can’t seem to figure out how to macro it, so I’m attempting to learn python in order to do what I want to do.

So here is what id like to do…

Make a closed curve that includes a selected polyline…

Some specifics is that the closed curve must include a straight line on either side of the selected curve in X, at a length of 20mm, and must be 60mm in the Y direction from the “greatest point” of the selected polyline.

The application is for making knife templates for wood mouldings.

I attached a series of .pdfs (sorry I cant merge them) which display what I’'m trying to describe.

Any help is much appreciated!!

Hi @Ben5,

Making closed curves via script is usually do-able. But I am not able to figure out how to help you, based off the PDF files. Perhaps we need more information?
