I tried to assign a specific ifc class to a layer (ifc export option) but when I export .ifc file in a bim viewer the ifc class remain a default value (e.g. ifcbuildingelementproxy).

The “By Layer” option is missing for Element objects, in the IfcTag Properties dialog. For that reason, it’s not taking the value assigned in the IFC Export Options dialog. You will need to assign it from the properties panel, in the meantime.
