According to Sir Antony Gormley, speaking on ‘This Cultural Life’ on BBC Radio 4 earlier today (April 25th 2024) 30:22
There are quite a few Leonardos amongst Rhino users now
Very cool interview on all kinds of levels, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for picking this up Bob McNeel!. Good to know the Beeb has transatlantic reach.
Sir Antony is a very interesting man. I’m not entirely sure I should do this but if any visitor on this Forum would like to know a little more than just this good BBC Sounds episode there is also this recent podcast. On Art, Religion and Culture
I have no connection etc just this side of the Pond and have seen some of his work which is definitely worth seeking out.
If Leonardo were alive today, he would be using Rhino
“…he would be using Rhino to create Vitruvian Man”
There, fixed it for ya.
Kyle @theoutside needs to launch a Da Vinci SubD challenge.
Leonardo: “Hi, I’m a newbie to the forum. My Rhino 8 has lost all its icons and the command line. I can’t use it. How do I fix it? Don’t ask me to run systeminfo - I can’t.”
Hey Leonardo, long time no speak…
Run the Reset command and restart rhino…
it’ll get you back in biz velocemente
His use of a square aspect ratio monitor, might be a stroke of genius though
Anthony Gormley is a very creative artist, and very successful too, Leonardo would be right at home using Rhino3d
And probably much faster with keyboard shortcuts using his 6 fingers
To be fair to the ‘artist’, Leonardo appears to have ten digits as normal - just split 60:40 between hands.
yes modern Leonardo can work better with 4 digits on right hand, and 6 digits on left hand
If Leonardo was able to model this without Rhino, then we all have no excuses…
(maybe he secretly used Rhino version -1, we dont know for sure)
Wow, this was an amazing interview. So nice to hear these experiences.
