Hello Forum,

I am running Rhino 7. I have been attempting to set Idle Process(under Rhino Options) to save my document when I get up etc. I am aware that it is not supposed to run cyclically, just once after the desired elapsed time has passed, and that it will only run after a command has prompted a reset.

I have found in my case that running any command(that I have tested) doesn’t prompt the Idle Process to begin. The only thing that triggers it, which I found by accident, is minimizing the window!? I am not sure why this works or what information this grants those of you with more knowledge to troubleshoot. Perhaps a plugin with license checking is halting the idle, not sure.

hi @Charles_Sauter it should work as you describe and in a brief test here, that’s how it works.
pls run _SystemInfo in Rhino and post back the results.

to test if plugins are not causing this, temporarily disable the plugins that don’t ship with rhino and see if the problem persists.

To disable the plugins, run _PluginManager, list the plugins that don’t ship with Rhino, uncheck them and restart Rhino.
