I appreciate that Ideal Panel optimization is in beta but I was wondering if you could shed any light as to why it crashes every single time I try to set a weight to it and is there anything I can do to fix it? At the moment I’m working on triangular mesh that is already fairly close to the reference surface.
we will follow up on this crash asap. If I understood correctly you want to optimize a triangle mesh to have panels as similar as possible. This is best done using the IdealEdgeLength optimization goal, you will find the details in the help file for command etOptionsImportance.
