Hi everyone,
For those looking to bridge computational design with real-world, robotic material fabrication, applications are officially open for the IAAC × WASP Summer Camp 2026.
*Applications are now open for the 2026 Architectural 3D Printing Summer Camp, a collaborative 5-week internsive research programme by IAAC and WASP. Hosted at Valldaura Labs in the Collserola National Park from August 24 to September 25, 2026, the program offers a hands-on exploration of low-carbon, earthen construction through large-scale digital fabrication.*
If you are tired of your algorithms only living on a screen, this camp is designed to translate computational models into physical, ecological structures.
What you will be doing:
-
Computational Design & Toolpathing: Master computational design principles to generate layered architectural geometries.
-
Robotic Operation: Gain direct, practical machine time setting up and operating the Crane-WASP earth 3D printing system.
-
Material Science: Formulate and mix local clay, soil, and organic fibres for optimal structural extrusion.
-
On-Site Fabrication: Collaborate with an international team to build architectural prototypes.
The program is perfect for architects, engineers, parametric designers, and researchers eager to get dirty and gain real-world machine experience.
