I wish Rhino's meshes would look a bit more like in Blender

I find dense meshes hard to read in Rhino. Here’s a comparison to how it’s done in Blender.

This is Rhino in wireframe display - a black spot:

This is the same model in Blender in wireframe display:

This is what it looks like when I selected the mesh in Rhino:

Here’s in Blender - look at how pretty this looks.

Would this be possible in future Rhino versions?

Try a different working display mode like Rendered, Artistic, or Arctic.
You can disable the display smoothing by right-clicking on the Viewport name and turning on “Flat Shade”.

@siemen can we get your mesh to play with? I think this may be doable with rhino as it sits…

I guess I should have been a bit more clear. It’s often with heavier meshes where I’m almost forced to work in wireframe/shades mode that it’s really hard to see the geometry of the mesh.

The mesh is from an artist and I haven’t asked for permission to send it. But I can provide a different scan, where can I send it?

Thanks, I just send over a scan which has the same problem to work with in wireframe mode.

interesting, it could look like this:

Interesting indeed. Need to try this out and see how it works.
