I am using rhino v6

Did you watch the video and try it? It should be the same process for Rhino 6. Make a template, save it in your template folder and then when you make a new file and get to choose from your templates you can check a box that says “Use this file when Rhino starts”

In Rhino v6 I do not see the board as in the tutorial video

What’s with Rhino v6? The steps in the video are identical.

It goes like this:

  • Open new file
  • Change whatever you want to see when you start Rhino, in your case the colour of default
  • Save as template
  • Make new file
  • Choose template you just created
  • Mark this checkbox
