I ran Make2D and got nothing!

I’ve tried using MAKE2D function in Rhino to make a 2D drawing like this file says:

But when I ran Make2D, it got nothing!!!
Who can help me??

thank u~!!!

Haha~~ I have got the answer.

My (0,0) coordinate is far from my model.

Just curious … why did you make a model so far off of the origin?

This happens pretty much only in architecture as far as I know and comes from one or both of two things:

  1. Architecture students are not always taught about the importance of the origin in the coordinate system when learning CAD - this stems from using 2D modeling like an infinite sheet of paper, just start drawing any old place and all dimensions are relative; when you’re done with a sketch, just select it and slide it over/up some unknown distance and start a new thing. Result - stuff is scattered everywhere.

  2. Architects often start from something existing like a land use plan or building, and use an existing file as a base. These files are geo-referenced so that you can import neighboring stuff as well as data from other sources using the same reference and have it all drop into the right place. In this case it is totally legitimate to be far from the origin and you really do NOT want to be moving stuff closer, because future imports of other data will no longer be referenced. The reference origin can be miles/kilometers away from where the actual model is. This often presents a problem for Rhino and its calculation of meshes and other stuff.
