Hi guys! I have a very general but in a way quite specific questions:

I want to create layout- or installation plans in rhino where I have to insert different models, some of them more than once. My problem is that I need the instances editable separately or, even better, to be insertable in different configurations. Something like inserting a component from the content center in inventor: when I select a certain part like a bolt, it prompts me to select the bolt size.

Like I need to be able to insert multiple instances of a model, that can be configured in the layout (imagine three cars with different wheels or some extras like a trailer hitch).

Can I somehow change properties like show or hide layers in blocks?

Hi Wim,

Thanks for your reply. If I understand this correctly, there is a request to integrate a feature that allows to insert multiple instances of a block and giving the oppotunity to display different elements in different instances.
The request mentions to integrate a feature of visualarq into rhino–I have a license for visualarq3, is there a way included to modify block instances seperately?
