Hello everyone, it’s the first time I’m trying to ask for help, but I’ve finally decided to take parametric design a bit more seriously. This evening, while drinking my herbal tea, I came across this example of parametric architecture. I’m attaching an image below. The first thing I notice, which I believe is the starting point of the whole generative process, is a shell that is regular up to a certain point and then folds back onto itself, forming a hole as if it’s turning inside out. I’m asking for assistance in finding any helpful resources such as materials, videos, books, or any advice that can help me recreate this shell. Most importantly, I’m wondering if you think the generative process started by modeling meshes or if it’s the result of an algorithm. Thank you to anyone who will dedicate their time to help me!
