# I’m going to make a shelter that looks like this

Is there an algorithm to make this shape? Even if I look for it, it doesn’t come out well.

You have to learn Grasshopper. Grasshopper is free Rhino plugin.

As Andrew says learn Grasshopper. It’s lot’s of fun and very powerful.

Then try and come up with a new design along the lines of those renders that will actually stay up in anything more than a gentle breeze.  
I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that if that thing has actually been built as per those concept renders (unlikely) then I, for one, do not want to stand underneath it. 😉
