I am trying to get the main structure line and using edgesurface to build the surface.but I cant figure out the structure line / point for the transition area in the middle and the wavy part at the top, thanks

Since you’re on Rhino 6, Sub-D is not an option, but this is - depending on your proficiency with Rhino - a fairly complex thing to reverse engineer in NURBS. Can I ask why you need to rebuild it? Anyhow, I reckon the most important thing is to NOT try and solve this with all in one go. Start with the main volumes (the two tori and the base). Keep edges sharp, so no fillets. Then add the transitional surfaces using BlendSrf, Sweep, Sweep2 etc., again keeping the intersections sharp. When you’re satisfied with the main surfaces, you can start the massive task of blending in the whole thing.

Maybe this could be helpful, if you can also get a good quad mesh from Maya.
