Im working in a modell where a surface/object seems to have got stuck and now is not possible to eiter select nor locate in order to have it removed. The modell was not initially made by me but another designer but this person is not longer available to contact to ask for support.
also made a short video clip showing how it acts when trying to grab it:
The flat white polysurface has not been an issue so far, but now I need to make some adjustments to the entrance in which this surface sits in the way for.
I have unlocked all layers, SelectedAll and tried multiple ways to grab hold of the object without any luck.
Can anyone please help out and give tips or pointers?
It would help avoid wasting everyone’s time if you could enumerate these, otherwise you may get a boring series of “have you tried x?”, “Yeah, didn’t work” interactions…
Anyway, here’s the first: did you try _SelBadObjects?
It is possible that this is a “phantom” object that doesn’t really exist - a render mesh artifact from an existing surface with a bad trim. But without a file we will never know.
I suspect that is the case. I´ve had other smaller objects in this modell which we´ve replaced for new shapes, but they had also picture materiality siding aside from the actual surface.
Is there a way to located its origin in that case?
