How to revert to previous release

I have my Rhino 8 update frequency to every Service Release Candidate. It has been going well until an hour ago when it updated to 8 SR5 (8.5.24046.3001, 2024-02-15)
There is now a noticeable delay/lag with most commands.

How can I revert to the previous release?

Thanks!

Uninstall Rhino and then use the previous installer if its still in your downloads. I’ll send you a link to the Service Release.

Can you post your system info? Thanks

Thanks Japhy,

I’ll post that momentarily. If I uninstall, will I lose all of my preferences, plugins, etc?

You won’t lose your grasshopper plugins ect.

back up preferences with OptionsExport

If the layout if custom you can run _SaveWindowLayout

_ExportRuiFile for toolbars

Thanks Japhy, I was able to revert to SR4 ad seems to have fixed the lag. Thanks for your quick help on this!

Can I ask is there any way to download 8.7? I emptied my downloads to save space and I really really need to roll back from 8.8 - it broke my access to scipy in cpython 3

Sent you a link.

Please let us know what isn’t working for you. Thanks.

Many thanks Japhy! I will first do the bug report and then install 8.7 using the link you sent me. I posted on the forum under this thread: Problem using CPython Libraries - #23 by brian9

But I’ll do a separate post on this issue

Hi…

I am having same issue for 8.9. Having crashes after update…
Can I also have a link to previous releases? Thanks

HJ

Pls don’t double post. I replied to your post in the other thread.

Hello, I am having huge issues with the latest release, can I get a download driver for Rhino 8 for mac for the 8.1 release? I deleted my driver after the download so no longer have access. My file won’t stop crashing when exporting to PDF and I have a huge deadline due today. This is not ideal.

Hello, I’m having huge issues with Hops in the latest Rhino release (8.12). Can I get a link to the 8.10 release for Windows?

Thanks in advance,
Dawid

Hi Dawid -

Where are those issues reported?
Have you tried the public 8.13 candidate to see if anything was resolved?
-wim

@wim this is the same error that I found here: Rhino compute hangs in 8.12.

I asked a few friends and got the installer for 8.11 that they found in their “…\McNeelUpdate\DownloadCache” folder so I’m good.
