How to reset PointDeviation values

How to reset PointDeviation values to default ones?

I’ve put there 5,4,3 values and now I can`t go back to 0.1,0.01 and 0.001.

I’ve put there those values cause I`ve checked using PointDeviation command as thickness analysis

Now Rhino autocorrection doesn`t allow me to put old values there.

Is there some reset to default values to reset only one tab?

Hi Marcin -

I can’t get Rhino to behave like that.
Have you tried ending the analysis and then starting it again, and, perhaps picking different objects?

Yes, it`s still the same and it blocks me from putting there any lower values.

Edit: Ignore 5, Bad point: 4 Good point: 3 should be written from up to down and default values should be written in the opposite (from down upside) it is strange  (I’m on windows). Autocorrection stops me to do it in any other way. It also works only when I write ‘.1’. It doesn`t work when I put there ‘0.1’ (with 0 in the front).

I hope you will do ‘reset button’ to default values on all tabs.

Hi Marcin -

Thanks.
I pretty much never run Rhino 7 these days…
I see that this is an issue on Rhino 7 but that appears to have been fixed in Rhino 8.

What about resetting values? Is there anything in preferences to reset all tabs to default?

Should I also use Rhino 8 instead of 7? Is that stable enough to work on it?

Hi -

No, but I don’t see why you should be able to reset this dialog to some randomly picked, default, values. You need to be able to use the values that make sense for your project.

We’ll always recommend using non-WIP versions for production-critical work.
We are still working intensively on the new features that will be in Rhino 8 and those might change to varying degrees before release. Other than that, I can’t say that Rhino 8 crashes more often than Rhino 7 and I haven’t lost work yet. For me, some of the new features in Rhino 8 make it hard to go back to Rhino 7.
If you chose to use Rhino 8 - and actually regardless of what you chose - always make sure to have frequent backups.
