It’s not possible to check the box all the way at the top (even if it’s grayed out?)
This thread from R7 may be helpful: Rhino 7 options: update page ghosted again - Rhino / Rhino for Windows - McNeel Forum
If not -
In the Windows search box, type “Services” The services panel should open.
Find McNeel Update Service in the list and if it is not running, right click and choose “Start” (or "restart).
If that doesn’t help, let us know.
Hallo @Helvetosaur,
I have the same problem, Rhino8: No possibility to auto-update on Update and statistics - #2 by wim
By the installation, I have enabled the connection to the McNeel server and the auto-update.
By services, the McNeel Update Services 5.0 is set to Running´s Status, and Automatic by Startup Type, and by the Registry, the enabled_automatic_updates is active and set to 1. Is there anything else to watch out for?
As in the screen above, also by me, all of the options on the page Update and Statistics are not “clickable”
Dear @susi33 have you solved the problem?
@Helvetosaur @jeremy5 @GaeChrisRuvio
Service was running so i restarted it and changed 2 registry values according to link posted by Jeremy.
I dont know wich one worked for me but auto updates are working!
Thanks guys for help
