How to proportionally adjust a curve in 3D?

Hi, V5
If I find a curve (wiggly one…technical term ! ) is not ending where it should do and needs adjustments in X Y Z directions,

…if I select it and turn on control points, dragging the end point to where it should go adjusts the last portion affected by that point., so now the curve has seen the rest of it not be in proportion to its end.

If I wish to have the entire curve stay proportional to itself whilst doing so, what is the method ?
