How to Orient a Curve Perpendicular to a Surface?

I am rebuilding a loft since my profiles are not perpendicular to the surface along the loft.

How can I align my profiles curves so that they are exactly perpendicular to the surface along the loft so i can re-rerun the loft and avoid minor distortions?

Thanks!

Hi Mike- I’m not sure I picture the thing correctly but OrientCrvToEdge and OrientOnSrf are commands that come to mind here - note both depend on the current CPlane to determine how the objects will be mapped to the surface normal.
Post a file if that does not help.

Hi Pascal,

I have 13 profiles in order to control the precise shape and rotation along the length of the loft, so OrientCrvToEdge wont work.

OrientOnSrf could work but I have to then rotate the curve 90 degrees and then slide it into place, which is OK, but not ideal.

Perhaps it is better just to cut it up with a 3 point plane with perpendicular on (or is there a better approach)? I didn’t do this because for some reason when i was generating my curves from a temporary loft and intersections, the resulting intersected curves had significantly more control points added after intersection, adding unnecessary complexity.
