Hi guys, relative beginner in CAD. I am a jeweler and use Rhino for that but probably anyone proficient with rhino can help me answer this question. I want to make an outline around placed stones to manually engrave after casting, so this is just a guideline. How to I draw a line on a surface to follow the contour of the stones. I can extractisocurve, but then they would just be straight lines. Dupedge and offsetting doesn’t give me the effect I am looking for either. Any tips would be greatly appreciated

What type of objects are the stones? You can use Intersect (or IntersectTwoSets) command to get the outlines of where the stones touch the surface. Hard to tell exactly without the model. Also, the command has some limitations and doesn;t like mixing NURBS and meshes.
If you can share the model (or a part of it) it could be easier to help.
