I am working on a car model. It has a chrome strip with a taillight lens just below it that wrap around from the back of the car to the side and runs all the way to the door. My plan was to use curve-through-points to form the top and bottom of both the chrome strip and taillight lens and end them with a polyline. This would define the two shaped objects. Then I would like to be able to use the hole feature and sink a corresponding shallow groove into the surface. I would use the clipboard feature to create the chrome strip and taillight lens which would be 3D printed and set into the groove made using the hole feature. The problem that I am facing is that the normal hole feature doesn’t seem to work with an irregular shape that I have created using the curve-through-points feature. Have any of you encountered this before and do you have a solution to make this work?
