How to hide imported objects face edges

Hello. If I have a smoothed geometry in SketchUp, and I import it into Rhino, it leaves the edges visible. If I imported the file with Join Faces it would be smoothed, but on the other hand it would bug the faces in some situations. How do I smooth this geometry in a practical and quick way? In this case, I would need to do it with the entire model imported from sketchup, this being just one block.

Here’s on SketchUp

Here’s on Rhino

A display mode i created based on SketchUp

Rendered mode looks smooth. I just want to remove/hide the edges on those smoothed faces at not rendered view. (If i export do SKP all those lines becomes aparent and my client don’t like those kind of geometry)

Heres Sketchup File:
SmoothImportedGeometry.skp (833.8 KB)
Heres Rhino File
SmoothImportedGeometry.3dm (7.7 MB)
with these settings when importing from skp

Hi, @Gustavo_Soares_Silva. You are on the right track. The setting that will turn off the egdes is called “Mesh Wires” in the display panel under Shaded and Ghosted display modes (among other display modes). There are additional customizations, if you go into Options > View > Display Modes > (Display Mode of your choice) > Adjust settings as needed.

Hello @stevefuchs. The problem here is the exporting again to sketchup.

I get the object like this, and return like this to my client.

I noticed that when I join faces and weld angle in the rhino importing the exporting to skp understand the hided edges and exports like this, that is what I want.

But on the other hand, if i import like this, my import on rhino has bugged faces like this

That exports to skp like this.
