I am planning to design a 3d plane from 2d. Here i am planning to make 4 curves on a rectangular plane and bend it downward to make a simple chair/stool. I have seen some tutorials , but doesnt worked ou well. In the latest tutorial video using crane plugin, its seems bit easier. But doesnt run well. I uploaded small paper prototzpe and the incomplete gh file. If anz one could help me in this, it would be helpful

please find this gh file. Instead of bending the plane is rolling. How can i solve it. Anyones help would be grateful.
I think your mesh is not suitable for this. Instead, I would use a triangulated mesh with edges along the creases
You can constrain the four corners on the XY plane and the result looks like this:
I modified your arcs slightly so the surface is split into five segments.
