How to fillet the marked loop edge in this model?

Hi,
I want to fillet this edge by 0.5 and it fails.
It seems I need to fillet it manually. can you please give me a step by step guidance.
Please give me a save file to study, if it is possible.

Its pretty quick and easy If you model it accurately using rolling ball fillets throughout and use a reasonable tolerance for the size of the model. Your tolerance setting would work OK if you were modeling a battleship.

The inaccuracy of G2 blends will make the process difficult and time consuming especially when your model has fillets that overlap each other

. With rolling ball fillets you can make this in 5 minutes from scratch and be confident that piling on additional complex features on top of what you have already modeled will be just as quick easy to complete.

Thanks, I used “filletsrf” command and reached to your result but what did you mean by “Rolling Ball Fillet”?

Is it a command?

I suspect that means you used the model I supplied. If you had used your original model it would be much more difficult and time consuming to arrive at a comparable result.

FilletSrf makes only rolling ball fillets. But there are other ways you also can make rolling ball fillets. You can use extrude or revolve command to create surfaces using curves that are made using the curve fillet tool.

The point I was making is that if you make the transition surfaces that the subsequent fillets are going to cross over as good rolling ball fillets, its very unlikely you will have much trouble getting everything to trim and join and the process will go quick and easy.
