How to deform objects and their mapping coordinates at the same time

Is this possible? For instance, I arrange planar mapping for a bunch of objects, then deform them and their mapping widgets at the same time, and none of the mapping widgets deform, so I have to re-position all the widgets after every deform. Must be a way to get the mapping to stick to the geometry… anyone able to help?

Hi Cairn - I think I’d use a plane as a custom mapping object - deform the plane - planar surface - with the other objects and then apply the deformed plane as the custom mapping object. That is, the mapping will not stick through the deformations, if you apply it before - you’ll need to apply it after as well. I’ll see if I can make an example.
