How to customize dimensions (decimal and millimeters)

I can’t figure out exactly how to setup a custom, not the default, for dual dimension in Rhino 8. I would like decmial displayed on the top of the dimension line, and millimeters below the dimension line, when I am dimensioning. Is that possible?

Can we see an example of what you are looking for?
Do you mean decimal inch on top and mm equivalent below?
Or do you have 10mm, and you want the 10 above and the mm suffix below, for example?

Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier

Sure. I think I’ve figured some of it out. I have two questions for you Mary.

  1. How can I get mm suffix?
  2. Once figured out, how do I created this style for use in the future.

Thanks …

Hi 1886 -

In your image, you already have a “mm” suffix?

Something like this?

My screen capture depicts what I would like to do. The mm was put there manually via the text command. I wanted to know how I get the mm to automaticaly show up. And, lastly is there’s a way to save this ‘style’ of dimensioning for future usage.

Hi 1886 -

My screenshot above shows how to set that up.

Once you have created your custom annotation style, you will need to save that file and use it as a template for future documents.

Thanks very much. I’ve never had to do this before the way I personally user Rhino. I did have to do a little testing, but I completely understand where the editing adjustments fields parameters are now, and how to make a startup template.

Thanks again,
