I have a chair that I want to model but it has tufting in the cushion. Is it possible/easy to create tufting in Rhino? Or should I try to learn to do it in 3D Max?
This archived thread has some interesting ideas:
Hi Jay- see if the attached file helps at all- Simple Tufted Upholstery.3dm (1.2 MB)
Thank you Pascal! I was hoping I could do this in Rhino without using T-Splines (too expensive for a student!)
Fastest way to create wrinkles around a closed curve?
Didn’t Autodesk offer a free version of T-Splines for students?
