I have an object that I created with the loft command, and I would like to create a more rounded end on it verses the current flat end. I tried to use the solid fillet but it breaks the object, I’m guessing this is because the ends are not perfectly round.
Just looking for some suggestions on how I can achieve a more rounded end.
The whole thing is a bit wobbly (green line), maybe an accuracy issue, maybe you want it to be that way. I would rather build this like a NURBS surface model, overbuilding the two main surfaces (blue lines) as if you were to model a slice of lime, then fillet the surfaces (red lines), then mirror-copy to obtain the other half. It is not a good idea to already “build in” the fillets. Overbuilding, as if you were making a physical model, and only then adding fillets or blends, is usually the way to go.
Thank You very much…. your suggestions did the trick. I created a round sphere and then use the wire cutting to create the sliced shape I wanted and then used the fillet on the edges… Thanks again!
