I have made a scale facade in Grasshopper and pre-assigned it with multiple metallic textures, but the file starts to slow down when the area increases. I assume the best approach will be to convert the geometries into mesh and join them before rendering, but I couldn’t work out how to maintain the individual material of a joined mesh. Also, is it possible to assign reflective colors to the mesh vertices? Any suggestion will be helpful. Thank you!
hi @realtaiwanese this is unfortunately not yet possible in Rhino. This is on the list as
RH-44331 Keep assigned materials on Join
Hey Gijs,
Any news on this ?
thanks
Hi @thanksface I’d set my expectations low on this one. It is marked future and is awaiting dependency on another (old) YT that is marked future.
