Hi All,
I’m trying to save a model to be shown in a virtual way, example attached. The file must be saved in a file format easily accessible, not Exe Standalone.
Any help will be super appreciated.

Since the DXFs at the link you provided are 2D profiles, you need to extrude to create a 3D model to use in a VR application.
This is a bit more complicated and I’m not sure if I’m explaining it correctly.
The model is created in Rhino 7 and saved as jpng. I now have to go back and save it as obj to be able to get it floating in space and be visible as 3D object on all sides as per examples in the link I sent.
The problem is when I render it in Escape, I have no option to save it as obj. Is it possible to render it in Rhino and still save it to be visible on all sides, or is Enscape my only option?
Hi Karolina,
You should be able to save it as an OBJ from Rhino. If you have a Rhino7 license, you can use the WIP for Rhino8 to save as GLTF.
I don’t understand why you need Enscape to do this … what does Enscape do that you cannot do in Rhino?
Rendering in Enscape is more realistic than the rendering in Rhino. What I save in Rhine as OBJ does not look finished at all, Enscape does and that’s why I need to figure out how to get there.
I’m no expert with Rhino’s texturing but I believe it is now possible to “bake” textures in Rhino.
If you need more functionality, Simlab Composer can do texture “baking”, it can be used standalone or as a plugin for Rhino.
I’m sure someone here can give you additional details.
What does those two things mean to you? Are we talking VR (and if yes, what particular headset) or web or tablet or PC or… well, the list goes on. The answer depends on how and on what platform you plan on making your 3D model “easily accessible”.

Maybe this is what you need.
Sketchfab lets you upload the 3D model to their server and then embed that on your webpage.
With the free version it looks like you can upload 10 models a month, but they will show their logo on the viewport.
I am sure there are some other solutions too. But if this is what you are after then I am sure others can chime in and help you on your path. (Or pay for a more expensive plan if that is an option)
As far as I know you can not export your enscape models, only your Rhino models, but you should be able to go a far way with that if you materials and models are looking good.
