I have a walkway that cuts through the topography and cannot get boolean difference to carve out the topo that is covering the walkway.
The Boolean difference didn’t fail, so it cut something out - probably a rectangle where the walkway intersects the ground.
But the walkway isn’t tall enough to come out of the ground. Make a copy of it, scale it vertically so it cuts the surface all along and Boolean that out of the ground.
Any better?
Hi Jeremy, yes, after I sent this post I extruded the walkway up past the tops of the topo layers and that worked. I just started using Rhino. Thank you for the help/response.
I work on similar projects, you may find the WireCut tool usefull moving forwards (you can also ‘wirecut’ using the Gumball)
