How do I extrude an odd shape from a surface

Hello forum,

I am trying to make a simple wheel shaped window in a wall. I tried ‘‘splitface’’ and ‘‘makehole’’ with no success. Attached is an image of what I am trying to do (made in rhino), then there is another that shows where Im at in Rhino, and finally an image detail of the shape. Im new to rhino so im trying to learn, so please keep the answers clear and precise.

I’m assuming that you want openings in the wall where the openings in the wheel would be…
Select the curves of your wheel (except for the outer circle - this one will not do anything anyway). Run the CurveBoolean command and click inside of the 12 openings. This will give you 12 closed curves that are pie shaped. With these selected, run the Trim command and click inside of the 12 openings. That should cut openings in the wall.
