# How do I export popup prefs?

I have the Command Editor open and I see an export option when I click open the selection tab, but it is greyed out. I would like to make a backup of my settings in case something goes south. Any ideas on how to do this on Rhino for Mac?

Hi Jeremy-

Apologies for the delayed response.

Unfortunately, there are likely all sorts of bugs going on here. The short answer is:  
If you would like to backup your Rhino Preferences - including any changes you have made in the Command Editor to Tool Palettes - please copy this file:  
`com.mcneel.rhinoceros.plist`  
which is in this folder:  
`~/Library/Preferences/` (You can use the _Finder_ \> _Go_ \> _Go to Folder…_ to get to that folder)  
to a backup location.

I’ll just say that we want to fix those disabled menu items. Please let me know if you want “the long answer” 😜
