How do I close off ends easily?

How to I close off lines that I draw and get the endpoints perfectly attached to each other? I was watching a tutorial for a certain build but he didn’t say how he closed off the ends

use the command connect, when they overlap clicking either before the intersection or behind will connect them differently.

Thats not working. Could you be more specific?

Hi Graham - if the lines are all in the same plane, Connect should extend/trim them to hard corners - click on the end of each line you would like to meet at a corner.

Hello Pascal, thank you. I noticed my Osnap was disabled and I had to turn it on “End”. I’m very new to this so there will probably be more questions in the future.

More precisely (as we are instructing a newcomer): click on the lines you would like to meet at a corner. No need to turn Osnap “End” on.

If there is more than one possibility for two curves to create a hard corner, it becomes important at which point you select the lines. Practice to learn… :grinning:

Max.

that is not fully correct… as mentioned above the position where you click impacts the outcome, at least it does on mac.

simply clicking on the end will create in such cases usually unwanted results

in this case clicking before the virtual intersection on the line will yield the proper result.
