Probably quite a basic one here but Im struggling with it at the moment. I want to build a roof like the below in visualARQ but when I try, VisualARQ trys to pick the direction of the ridge line and its not the direction I want it to go.
I ended up modelling the above with rhino geometry but obviously i end up losing the parametric aspect of it and other visualARQ objects dont want to interact with it in the same way it normally would.
How do i pick a ridge line direction when drawing the roof? Also is there a way to model in any sort of a soffit or facia or should that just be done with rhino geometry?
Hi @jake_courtenay, when you create a Gable roof, from a rectangular boundary, the ridge follows the direction of the longest side. If your roof is shorter, you can always draw it longer when you insert it, and shorten it through its boundary control points (or scaling it in one direction).
Or you can just rotate the whole roof and move it to the desired position.
