How do get this back?

Hello,

I installed rhino8 on a new computer and started to personalize it in the way I like to have it but 4 years later I do not know how I got some things.

In this case I don’t know how and where I added this special toolbar.

Any ideas how I can get this to my new installation of rhino 8?

I usually can open it as a template.

I already tried to copy the template from the old template folder to the new one, but I do not get the toolbar by this.

You are posting in the Rhino for Mac section, the screenshot above shows Rhino for Windows…

The “Gem Blocks” tab circled above is not standard in Rhino, it must have come from a plug-in you had loaded.

The overall Rhino UI is not determined by what template file you use, those only affect the file properties.

Strange,… I chooses rhino on windows. Why is it in the Mac section?

…and I do not see a possibility to change this.

Could an Admin change this in the appropriate section?

Thanks to the admins who changed the sections.

I would also like to correct the mistakes in the headline, but could not find a way to do it. Sorry for that too.

back to topic:

I know that this toolbar is not a usual rhino default toolbar. The problem is that I cannot remember how and where I got it. I searched my downloads and the web for it especially U-tube and food for rhino but could not find it.

Is there any way to get it out of my Rhino 7 on my old computer and add or transfer it to my new machine with rhino8?

You might look in your Rhino 7 plug-ins folder and see if anything jumps out at you. You may be able to copy the .rhp of the plug-in if you find it from one to the other and maybe it will work. Or maybe not…

If the plug-in added a toolbar, it bay be there in V7 in the form of an .rui, if so you should be able to copy it over and load it in Rhino 8… maybe.

I couldn’t find anything in my plug ins folder that may correspond to it or am I blind?

Some plugins do not use the Rhino plugins folder…

If you bring up the tab in V7 and shift+Right click on one of the gem buttons, what do do you see? Maybe it will give you a clue.
