How divide a surface with decreasing cells’ size like X-1

as you can see on the photo I want to decrease amount of V for surface frame when it’s going to end of the shape. Starting the number from 16 and when its arriving to end be 1. Because don’t want the skin elements overlapping each other.

Here is a way, extract iso-curves, then divide then as you want.
