Split a mesh with curves or planes

hello , I am trying to split a mesh in multiple parts. when I load in a mesh I first create a bounding box than I divide the hight with a multiple of points, on thode points I create planes or curves that I want to use to split that mesh ( a mesh sculpt of a penquin for example) it should be simple right! anyone to help? the goal is to lasercut those layers or mill thanks [penquin example] split mesh.gh (10.3 KB)
