How can I purge VisualARQ from Rhino file?

I have a working file without need for any VisualARQ functionality. I pasted some VA geometry into it in the past but have deleted it since. I can find no other trace of VA but apparently there must be some.

With the VisualArq plugin enabled, Rhino is unable to display block manager which is annoying but can be often worked around.

What is way more worrying is that when I disable the VisualArq plugin, Rhino will frequently crash in situations which I cannot predict. These are some actions that triggered crash:

  • double clicking a saved layer state to restore it
  • selecting a detail on layout, right clicking a layer, then clicking on “change object layer”
  • launching Grasshopper

Usually (possibly always) Grasshopper starts loading right before the crash (even if I wasn’t using it before) as is indicated by the green splash screen.
Please how can I remove VisualARQ completely from my file?

Hi @omichalek you can use the vaPurge command to delete any trace of VisualARQ data in your file. This action will delete VisualARQ objects and styles, custom parameters, levels, etc…

However, the fact that you cannot open the Block Manager panel doesn’t seem related to VisualARQ at all. I mean, I can open and work with the Block Manager panel and VisualARQ with no problems, and nobody else reported such a problem before.

Thank you, it is good to know the command exists.
There was something up with VA or my installation. Even after I disabled VA in plugin manager, it would still try to load

  1. I disabled VA in the only opened rhino window
  2. restarted windows
  3. opened a file purged from VA
  4. check plugin manager: the plugin was not loaded
  5. close plugin manager, VisualArq loads out of nowhere
  6. check plugin manager again: still says it is not loaded

  1. when closing rhino, it complains about a plugin incorrectly loaded or unlodaded, cannot remember anymore

Hi @omichalek try to disable the “Tibidabo” plug-in as well, besides VisualARQ. It looks like the “Tibidabo” plug-in loads VisualARQ unintentionally (theoretically it should not happen, so we will revise this).
