Hi, I’m new to Rhino and I don’t know how to erase the white squares attached to the wheels of the bicycle. I don’t even know how they got there. The wheels won’t explode anymore, I’ve tried multiple times.
If you could give me any advice, I’d be extremely grateful. I use Rhino 7 by the way
Can you post a .3dm file with the objects your are asking about? That would make it much easier for someone to assist you. Otherwise they will be guessing. To upload the file either click ont he vertical arrow icon above where you type your post, or drag the file to where you type your post.
It might be some type of a ‘block’. I usually purge blocks.
And sometimes things might be grouped and not necessarily needing to be exploded.
But blocks do add some ‘hidden’ frustration, especially for beginners.
Like I said, I usually will explode blocks into groups and then purge them, so I clear out all the weirdness they cause.
Sometimes, I’ll even rebuild the geometry or modify it to clean it up.
This stuff usually happens when I import data from other sources that really like using blocks.
Thank you so much! I managed to fix it, there were indeed multiple groups
awesome
I’m glad that worked!
yeah, sometimes there’s many groups haha got to click that ‘ungroup’ button a bunch to make sure
depending on things though, you might want to ‘regroup’ a few things to keep it organized however you’d like, or build new polysrfs
If you hold down ctrl and shift when selecting, it will select subobjects.
This way you can select a single object in a group or a single face in a polysrf, or even an edge or corner point of it.
Pretty usefull
