how can I create the pattern and contour of this item in rhino?

i believe its a gradient scaling of a diamond grid created on the polysurface(open box).
this could be done by any of the various panelling plugins- panelling tools, geometry gym, pufferfish etc.

I think the ‘wave’ effect is because of the polysrf being modelled like that.
