Hello, i am trying to model different headboard designs. Modelling these traditional stitching shapes is a challenge for me. Do you know which tools i could use to model my surfaces quick and easy? Thank you!
Hello - making a single simple surface and carefully point editing it is probably easiest - you can make copies with history to get the others. If you want to break up the uniformity you can purge the history and directly point edit the individual surfaces here and there as well.

Here’s a quick fool-around with the idea.
-Pascal
I do sort of what Pascal suggested for a lot of cushions on boat interiors. This may not technically be a Chesterfield since the tufting doesn’t run diagonal to the edges of the cushion but you should get the idea.
Make one square with the bulging shape and the array with history on and edit to get the pattern you want. Then point adjust the corners to get the smooth round and join them all up. Mirror and then blend the edges to get the full cushion. You may not have to do the last for a headboard.\
