How best to improve this bend area sweep?

Hi,
V5

this is basically how it is on the item as I hold it in my hand, a U shape gap, but as you can see the two 90 deg bends occur far closer than normal disallowing a better sweep, the green and grey surface arcs intersect.
However armed with a mallet and vice reality sees workers not worried on what it might cause cad modellers !
I need to get the two curves to blend better and lose the kink but how to do that and see the curve on the surface as I alter the curves ? Is there a command to see them blend and move about as I alter parameters ?
just how can I keep this ‘U’ shape gap, but stop those non tangent transitions occurring.
The top has to be that size and also the front, i.e all sheets are where they should be and the size they should be.

This item ‘bites’, even the arcs at feet match all surface tracings and measurements but are .12 inch lower than item.

managed this eventually. though a sliver of light showing yet has no naked edges !

method form two L bends, offer up to the area, create spheres for inner and outer edges, make circles from such then extrude, and trim exploded surfaces using appropriate cylinders. intersect and use to trim.
If the bend area had more space it wouldnt have been such a fight.

tried different mesh display settings but the sliver of light remains.
