Hello, there is a way to get by default a host reference for window, door or curtain wall?
It a useful and necessary implementation to be able to execute a model checking validation in a BIM workflow.
Thank you

Hi @fn_a I’m not sure to understand your question. In the styles dialog for doors and windows (not for curtain walls), you can determine which object types can act as the window and door hosts:
Is that what you mean?
Hi @fsalla,
I mean as a properties attribute displayed (for e.g. Windows Host: wall_300mm abc123).
Thank you
Hi @fn_a I understand. There is a process to achieve what you are asking for. It can be done using the Custom Parameters, and the Grasshopper components to automate the detection and assignment of the host name to doors and windows.
I actually recorded a video-tutorial showing that example: https://youtu.be/HGrp8-ljKiM?si=8lX6NnwQ1Xuig9XT
In future versions we could add that host name information as a property in the Properties panel for doors and windows, so you don’t need all this workaround.
Thank you @fsalla,
It is essential to integrate by default this property to be able to consider VA compliance for model checking (in addition to clash detection)
Thank you again
