Hiding the shell window

In the EnergyPlus component, it is possible to hide the DOS shell window by setting a parameter in the component to 2. How can we do this for other components? There is a previous post on this by Ejnar Brendsdal ( Running Simulation in silent mode? (no shell window)) but I don’t quite understand how this is done for other components. Has a new component or command been added to Rhino or Grasshopper that we can set so that DOS shell windows do not open when we run components that call it?

Hi Mackie - there’s nothing in native Grasshopper that will prevent custom components to open a shell window. You should ask the developers of those components if an hide option can be added.

:(. If only we can have a component that we can add to custom components… Ah well. Just hoping.
