# Hide viewport tabs

I prefer a minimal UI, and would like to remove the viewport tabs shown in the picture below. Is this possible?

i never ever ever used this tab, its basically taking space away for nothing. i really would also love useless clutter like this to be optional. and if one makes it optional then make the buttons be transparent, i mean let the text float in the viewport that it distracts less.

One can turn the tabs off in Windows Rhino, so I assume that it will be fixed sometime on the Mac side. I never use them except in certain files with lots of layouts, as there is a tab for each layout.

Dear McNeel, please implement this! On a Macbook Pro 16”, at the default 1728×1117 resolution, that tab bar takes up 52px (real, not scaled) of vertical space while never being used at all.

You can move that to right Side vertically if you right click to that
