Hi,
V5
Is there a command to turn off all dimensions and perhaps other annotations.
Whilst I start out with a ‘DIMS’ layer for easy turn on/off, as the project gets busy I end up with dims specific to a sub object on a layer sub layered to that objects layer and with its own layer colour to see the different dims sets.
I then need to seek out all those layers where dims live to turn them off.
Pascal is right but i think you should make macro/script that function like-
SelDimension or SelAnnotation to select all dimension
choose layer to move object into.
make aliased like 'hd" for hide dimension. the benefit of this will be that you can organise all dimension in a single command. also it is independent of display modes.
display tab and untick annotation does it, though any lines I had on the dims layers still remain.
I could do with finding and turning off all layers with DIMS in the name.
I dont want to move all dims onto a new layer. Unsure how the other suggestions assist me.
it will select all dimension and ask for which layer you want to move dimensions into, a dialog will popup and here you choose the DIMS layer and click ok.
