Hidden wires won't stick between sessions

I only recently noticed this issue. Never used hidden wires hence late discovery.
It happens when I switch from faint to hidden. With each file opening it comes back as hidden.
Is it only me or can you reproduce it?

I have discovered what what causing this issue.
I had a global wire switch from Fennec:

which I forgot about.
