Hi, @Brian_Washburn
I’ve been having a hard time exporting my Rhino model that I’ve georeferenced with Heron into ArcGis City Engine. I’ve made centerlines that would serve as the Streets once imported in City Engine. I’ve set my Earth Anchor Point, got everything I needed from heron, but when I export those curves as a Shape file it doesn’t load in City Engine. It doesn’t even show up in the Scene/ Layers tab, possibly meaning that it can’t read it or I’m doing something wrong with the coordinates. The coordinate system used in City Engine is WGS 1984 UTM Zone 51. I need help, please.
Here is a video on Youtube of Shp Importing to City Engine. As you can see in the video, once imported, it shows up on the layers tab.
Hi @attheeast18 ,
Are the centerlines polylines when they are input to featureGeometry? The component isn’t able to export nurbs curves.
For troubleshooting, are you able to post your definition with the centerlines internalized?

Thanks for the quick reply, Brian. I did export them as polyline. Here is the gh file.

Hi @attheeast18 ,
The export from Heron seems to work fine on my end when brought into QGIS.
I’m not familiar with the City Engine workflow, but my guess is there’s something missing there.

I got it!!. Everything’s ok now. Heron exports good, it seems it just requires to input some attributes and values.
This workflow is a real game changer. Thanks @Brian_Washburn for Heron and allowing this connection. PUMA , the plugin, works great but lacks road inputs and very limited controls. Heron to City Engine is gonna be great. I think you should look up into City Engine . There’s some higher interoperability potential with Heron there.
